On the morning of July 18th, the 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference Lhasa High Level Forum successfully concluded at the Lhasa Mass Culture and Sports Center. Government leaders, experts and scholars in the field of digital economy, and business representatives from Beijing and Lhasa gathered in the highland city to conduct in-depth discussions on the theme of "Digital Gathering in Lhasa, Collaborative Development", jointly depicting the magnificent picture of high-quality development in the digital economy era.

Wang Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Lhasa Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, attended the closing ceremony and delivered a concluding speech. He stated that Lhasa has unique resource endowments, firm development determination, and unprecedented policy opportunities. We sincerely welcome more knowledgeable people and innovative enterprises to come to this hopeful plateau, jointly develop broad application scenarios, share the huge dividends of digital economy development, and work together to build Lhasa into an internationally influential highland for digital economy innovation and development.

In order to further promote the market-oriented allocation of data elements and release digital dividends, the award ceremony of the 2025 "Data Element X" Competition Xizang Autonomous Region Division was held simultaneously during the conference. This competition focuses on the innovative application of data elements in government governance, industrial transformation, and people's livelihood services, aiming to explore and incubate excellent projects with forward-looking and practical value. Since its launch, the competition has attracted wide attention from all walks of life, attracting 61 teams to sign up for the competition, which fully reflects the vitality and unlimited potential of digital innovation in Xizang. Through this award ceremony, not only have outstanding achievements been recognized, but a good ecosystem that encourages innovation and supports practice has also been further created.

The three major telecom operators - China Unicom, China Mobile, and China Telecom - have gathered their strength on the plateau, deeply participating in three sub forums: computing power empowerment, digital AI integration, and innovative development of the digital economy. They will share localized solutions for Lhasa's urban governance, livelihood services, and industrial empowerment, focusing on several topics such as "smart chain data, integrating and creating the future", "the last mile of AI transformation", and "intelligent computing driving new journeys, quantum building security lines". From building a green and efficient computing network, to promoting the collaborative integration of AI, 5G, big data and edge computing, to the innovative practice of quantum communication in government security, the system shows the diverse landing paths and broad development prospects of digital technology in Lhasa.

With the successful conclusion of this event, the seeds of the digital economy have deeply rooted in the snowy plateau, and a development blueprint of "empowering with numbers and co creating the future" is accelerating. Lhasa is embracing the global digital wave with a more open attitude, striving to write a new chapter in the development of high-altitude digital intelligence in the new era.
