The opening ceremony will revolve around this theme, featuring policy releases, keynote speeches and important guest remarks, emphasizing the global coordinated development direction of digital city construction and new quality productivity.

Global Dialogue on Digital-Friendly City Development

Themed Global Dialogue on Digital-Friendly City Development, the Main Forum is centered on the core concept of Digital-Friendliness. It will bring together political, business, and academic leaders from home and abroad, as well as international organizations, to exchange views on the development of global digital economy cities and Beijing’s efforts to build itself into a global digital economy benchmark city. The forum will feature a mayors' dialogue to explore key topics such as digital-driven urban sustainable development and digital city governance. The United Nations Development Programme will release the Global Digital-Friendly City Evaluation Guidelines and host the launch ceremony for the Global Digital-Friendly City Evaluation. The Global Digital Economy Cities Alliance will launch the third phase of the International Digital Economy Governance and Leadership Talent Capacity Building Programme, and hold a certificate-awarding ceremony for new members.

Full-chain digital restructuring and value enhancement of traditional industries

Industrial Digitalization

Focusing on traditional sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, and energy, the forum will discuss topics including industrial internet platform development, digital transformation pathways for SMEs, and digital coordination across industrial and supply chains. It will promote the deep application of digital technologies across R&D and design, production and manufacturing, operations management, and after-sales services, accelerate high-end, intelligent, and green industrial upgrading, and support the building of a high-quality, high-efficiency modern industrial system.

Focus on discussing large model training, generative AI applications, industry empowerment pathways, and scenario applications in medical diagnosis, industrial manufacturing, smart cities, etc.

It will promote policy alignment, market opening, and innovation cooperation in the digital economy at both global and regional levels, facilitate cross-border coordination of industrial and supply chains, and support the building of an inclusive, mutually beneficial, and coordinated digital economy partnership network.
