The 2025 China Academic Annual Conference on Digital Economy Development and Governance will be held at Tsinghua University on July 3. With the theme of "Openness, Sharing, Friendliness: Social Development and Theoretical Innovation in the Digital-Intelligent Era", the conference relies on the 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference to gather industry experts, scholars, think tanks, and industrial representatives. It aims to explore how to promote comprehensive social development through openness and sharing in the digital-intelligent era, achieve theoretical innovation in practice, and provide solid theoretical support for digital economy development.
It is reported that the conference will focus on "openness" to break geographical, industrial, and technical barriers, promote the free flow of global digital resources and innovative elements, and drive the collaborative development of the digital economy; practice "sharing" to emphasize that the achievements of digital economy development should be shared by all mankind, ensuring that development benefits reach the whole of humanity; and advocate "friendliness" to explore paths for the harmonious coexistence of digital technologies and human society, enhance digital literacy, and build a digital-intelligent ecosystem that meets human needs.
Three forums will be set up during the conference: "Digital-Intelligent Era and Theoretical Innovation in Social Sciences", "Data Elements and Digital-Intelligent Technologies Reshaping Industrial Development", and "Digital Economy Development amid Global Trade Conflicts and Challenges". These forums will address changes in social structures and organizational management brought about by digital-intelligence, leverage tools such as big data and artificial intelligence to promote the reconstruction of social science theoretical frameworks and innovation in research methods; focus on the in-depth application of data ownership, circulation mechanisms, and technologies like artificial intelligence and blockchain in manufacturing, services, agriculture, etc., to cultivate new industries and business models; and explore how to expand international markets through models such as cross-border e-commerce and digital trade, seek new breakthroughs in global trade cooperation, and achieve sustainable development.
